Breakdance Anybody?

While searching for dance videos in YouTube, I came across this video which is a scene from the hit 1984 movie Breakin. The art of break dancing was so popular in the 80s among youths who were referred to as a Breakdancer, breaker, b-boy or b-girl.

Breakdance, breaking, b-boying or b-girling is a street dance that evolved as part of the hip hop movement among African American and Puerto Rican youths in the South Bronx of New York City during the early 1970s. It is normally danced to funk or hip hop music, often remixed to prolong the breaks, and is arguably the best known of all hip hop dance styles.

There were quite a number of break dance themed movies released in the 80s but this scene from the movie Breakin was definitely one of my favorites among the many.
