Swimsuits

So you don't have the body of a supermodel. So what? That doesn't mean you can't find a swimwear that will flatter your figure or give the illusion of a great bod. There are many type of swimwear that caters for women with different body sizes.

Swimsuits for a slimmer body

An Empire waist and detailing at the chest balance big hips by drawing the eye up. You can choose a built-in-tummy control panel or a suit that has significantly more spandex.

Swimsuits for a trimmer long torso

Tankinis and bandeau tops are the perfect choice for a trimmer long torso as it shorten the length of the body. A one-piece needs an Empire waist or detailing below the bust to reduce the expanse of fabric covering an elongated torso. You should avoid high-neck tops, which can call attention to the body’s length.

Swimsuits for small bust

You can maximize a small bust by wearing swimsuits with underwires, boning and padding as it will add shape and fullness to your chest. Wearing a top with a funky pattern, polka dots or embellishments will distract from a petite chest. Or you can wear swimsuits with horizontal stripes or prints, which can add a cup size.

Swimsuits for a slimmer lower body

A high cut in the leg but nothing higher than the hip bone helps heavy thighs look slimmer. In this case, you should leave boy shorts at the store as they make the derrière and thighs look bigger. Emphasize your top with color blocks, light colors or embellishment at the chest as they’ll draw the eye away from a heavier bottom.

Swimsuits for big bust

You'll need extra support for your girls! Halter-top swimsuits offer good support and still provide sexy cleavage. If you prefer a one-piece, look for pieces with some structure in the bust, like soft foam cups.

Swimsuits to banish belly bulge

If you have a belly bulge, fret not. You can go for a plunging halter top as it draws the eye up and away from any pooch below. Details or a bold pattern on the midsection can also be positively distracting because a busy print keeps the eye moving so it doesn’t settle on a less-than-flat tummy.
